When it comes to jam here at Wild Side we sometimes like to go a little tarty.The grandchildren were with us this weekend and we soon found ourselves casting round for something to do which will interest them, and settled on a spot of baking - but what to make? Well, last week saw us complete our pre season preserve making (250 jars of Wild Garlic and Carrot Chutney) and we rounded off the weekend with a stock take, and realised we had a lot of part filled jars of jam, so why not turn then into little Jam Tarts.Lots of pastry rolling and jam spooning later we had several trays of jammy delights, which proved to be as popular in the eating as they had been on the making.
