Droitwich Festival 2017
Droitwich always holds a special place in our calendar as it is the first event of our trading season.

Its actually called St Richards Festival and is a town wide event which stretches for three days over the early May bank holiday weekend. Our main interest is the Canal Festival, but there is also a huge gathering of classic and vintage card plus a farmers market, so there realliy is something fore evereyone.

Being so early in the season the weather can be unpredicatable and this year it was a bit on the cold side, not that it seemed to put off the visitors but its possible that they didnt hang around quite as long as on the weekends when the sun has shone a bit more.

It was great to meet old friends and customers having missed last years event, and it was particularly satisfying to have so many people tell us that they had heard that we were back and had come specifically to restock with Wild Side produce. It was also good to meet other traders who we havn't seen for so long.

It was good to spend some time with Richard Parry who is a long time Wild Side customer and who, on this occasion, was one of many who sampled our Respberry and Rhubarb Jam each jar of which which includes a £2 donation to Breast Cancer Care.

So thank you Droitwich and specifically the Worcester, Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society wo stage this wonderful event. See you all next year.
